A Toy Garden Bloggy Giveaway

I am going to do something I have never done before. Everyone knows I love to hold contests on my Blog but this time I am participating in the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival.

I have a absolute favorite on-line toy store that I shop at for any younger children toys. A Toy Garden has high quality toys run by a SAHM. To enter this contest you must browse through this on-line store and leave a comment about it. Please be creative. I will pick the most creative post and that person will win a lavender baby doll wrapped in a blue silk veil.

Guidelines

Shipping is free, but I will not ship anywhere other than within the Continental United States and Hawaii.

Requirements & details:no blog required but you must leave an email address so I can contact you if you win.

You must leave your comment by 04/25/08

I will pick a winner early morning on the 26th of April

The Toy Garden is a *great* online store and I *love* the baby dolls and playsilk you have chosen as a prize.

But I have to say.

PUDDLE PANTS?

All I could think when I saw this in bold print on the store's home page was - huh? Pre-filled diapers? Eeeeeyeuw.

Okay, okay, I clicked on the link and I saw that they're really waterproof overalls and I think that's a super idea.

But I'm not going to tell my son he's got to put on his PUDDLE PANTS!

I am always looking for natural toys that stimulate the imagination and this site definately fulfills that. Absolutely beautiful and creative. I love the ladybug travel bag...I am really not much for creative writing but I can just about imagine that bag travelling very quickly out of my home against its will if any of my son's friends laid eyes on it. Not to mention the fact that I would have to beat off their mothers with a stick. I can't tell you how many times I have had to go out and prepare a bag like this for our many trips and I know of so many others that do this as well.

What GREAT toys!! I love to see natural toxic free toys on a blog give-a-way! So much of what we see in the stores now are full of plastic and potential toxins for a little babies!

Plus WAHM, I love to support WAHM's and gladly buy from them!

We have one play silk and all my kids love them. My 8 year old plays with it and so will my 7 month old.

I will have to book mark the site and maybe order some things from there for some upcoming birthdays. I'm not sure I could pick a favorite there. Love the bathtub boat set though!

I had to laugh when I saw "puddle pants" wondering if they were some kind of training pants that keep the "puddle" in. But they actually look pretty cool. They would be nice to have to play out in the rain!

I would order the beautiful winter crown for my little princess to wear when it is cold. She held court every day this past winter in a airy fairy bejewelled and feathered number that did not keep her head warm. Since she hasn't much hair yet this was a real problem. I asked the royal daddy to find another crown but he informed me that little princesses under the age of 5 only get 1 crown at a time and she wasn't due for an upgrade for quite some time. Forgive his brutishness. This is his first little princess, and likely his last unless he shapes up. After all, he is only King because he married Princess Me. Next he will say a princess only needs *gasp* one pair of shoes at a time. Anyway, I must be off. I have a fundraiser to attend to for displaced dragons. Apparently no one wants them around because they set things alight when they snore. I say get them Breathe Right strips and everything will be fine. It worked for the King.

I was looking at the play dishes and I can just see my kids playing with milk jugs. LOL That is the neatest thing, to think that our milk jugs are hauled off, cleaned, recycled and made into a toy and shipped back into our homes. Crazy cool!

Greetings! When I was a little girl, my mom and dad planted a huge area with Canna flowes. They were very tall and my friends and I would have tea parties right in the middle of the Canna garden. I wasn't familiar with this toy site and the minute I got there, I thought of an outdoor fairyland! With the wood mushrooms, gnome house, hooting owl, and various fairy dolls, you have an imagination land right there! Then, add the water fairy, fairy princess headband, scarf dress and their is every tiny fairies dream land. I suppose one could host a fairy tea party with one of the pretty tea sets. Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks,Cindi

I would love to take some of the acron babies, one a year per little daughter I have. "Plant" them at the beginning for spring, sometime around Ostara. Then, around Mother's Day, have some Flower Fairy Puppets coming out of the ground, as if they grew!

How neat would that be in the garden for my girls to have a spot just for them, that they could watch "grow".

We also don't have the tooth fairy digging under a pillow to take the teeth. We hang it outside in a pretty bag or wrapped fabric, so the fairies can come and get it, and they leave behind a gift for our kids. This is the PERfect store for a gift like that. Play silks, gnomes, Felt flower necklaces, twig pencil sets.

Every year growing up, my parent's would get my sister and I a new doll. Sometimes, it would be a Cabbage Patch Doll...or a MyChild (remember those?). My mom was also crafty enough, that sometimes it was a doll that she made. I love the selection of dolls at this site! The Baby Bunting doll is just adorable and squishably soft :) I'm a mom to four boys, ages 6, 4, 3, and 1...with a little GIRL on the way! I cannot wait to fill every nook and cranny of her room with dolls! I will definitely bookmark this site!!

I love the felted food, the Organic Cotton Veggie Set in a Crate, and the gnomes! I love all of the stuff: I am a big Waldorf fan. I am bookmarking this store!
I have two boys who I hope to raise with Waldorf principles. Here is a poem I just wrote because you said to be creative and a I really really want to win this doll for my 8-month-old!
For My Boys
Two little acorns
One comes fierce and fast,
Touching, Learning, Asking,
Exploring, Wanting, Needing,
Erupting, Exploding with spirit.
Small but mighty.
The other, sweet and slight.
Observing, Studying, Inquisitive,
Discovering, Waiting, Giving,
Tranquil, Serene, quiet comfort.
Pleasant and Soothing.
Both in the same garden,
Protected and supported,
Cultivated and Encouraged
To be Authentic, True,
Distinctive and Connected
Real.

The Wood Play Stand would make a wonderful fort, reading nook, castle, jungle, pirate ship, cave, nap spot, zoo, school, mermaid home, dragon's lair, or anything your child could imagine.

This would make a great addition in anyone's home.

The doll and silk is beautiful

I love the toys that grow in this toy garden. I really never knew you could grow toys, all this while I have been paying for them! I wish they had toy garden seeds when my kids were young, but alas, I can get them for my grandkids.

I love the wooden art caddy. We use a Rubbermaid caddy and it isn't creative-looking at all. This wooden one looks like it's begging to be toted around the house, sketch book tucked under the other tiny arm! Thanks! ( meg.wilson@gmail.com )

What a cool store! My kids would love to play house with all the pretend food--they have a ton of "animal friends" they'd probably invite to join us in the living room for a party!

Thanks for pointing the way to this resource!

A Toy Garden

Tucked among the willows,
almost to difficult to see,
Lies a special little garden,
that grows toys for you and me.

We'll find a lamb's wool rug for baby,
dress-up clothes for both we two,
A little wooden ark for Noah,
and a rainbow boat with all its crew.

With sturdy blocks we'll build a little fortress in the trees,
And arm it with a catapult,
to save the royal gnome families.

If hunger pangs should strike you,
the Toy Garden is your place,
To find pizza and chef's salad,
eggs and toast, all served with grace.

There are lots more things to find there,
Special treasures, planted just for mom--
A birthday mug, a burl root bowl,
wood cap mushrooms--Let's pick her some!

So come, let's visit the Toy Garden
And share with all our friends,
All the creative fun we've found there,
Oh, the joy just never ends!

I would love to be entered in your giveaway.
